Marketplace

Summary

Marketplace is a community service for the recycling and resale of school uniform and other items of interest and benefit to PTFA members. The objective is to cut waste, as well as cutting the costs of buying school uniform and other items for members.

Items ordered by midnight on a Tuesday will be available for collection during school pick up on Thursday afternoon. We offer a no quibble returns policy. If the buyer isn’t happy with items on collection, or for up to 14 days from collection, then you can contact us to return the items for a full refund.

All items listed on the service are donations, for the most part will be second hand, and are sold as received. We ask that all donations are clean and serviceable, and we inspect all items before they are listed. We do not in general wash any clothing before sale. We offer a no quibble returns policy. If the buyer isn’t happy with items on collection, or for up to 14 days after collection, then you can contact us to return the items for a full refund.

School uniform is categorised by type, with variations available for colour and size. As such, descriptions and images are generic. School uniform is categorised as one of three conditions. ‘As New’ suggests an item of the highest quality, that may or may not have been used at all. ‘Good condition’ items have clearly been worn but are well maintained and in good condition. ‘Preloved’ suggests that the item is well worn but is deemed to have plenty of life left. The item may be obviously faded or have some staining or spotting. We understand that categorisation of an items condition is subjective, and that buyers may not be happy with the categorisation, or the state of the items on collection, which is why we make returns and refunds easy.

Sizing is also another difficult area. To ensure consistency, we size most clothing items by age group, and an associated sizing chart is provided. Please note that different brands and manufacturers, and different cuts or designs, can result in widely different fits. Although we make every effort to ensure consistency, but understand that this will not always be successful, which is why we make returns and refunds easy.

Formal Bit

A contract is formed between us and you when (and not before) we have sent you confirmation by email to the email address you have given and receive settlement of your credit/debit card payment. If you want to cancel or amend your order, you must contact us as soon as possible.

When you order on our website, you are submitting to us a binding offer to purchase the goods in your shopping cart, and we will do our utmost to fulfil this order to the service levels you would expect.

Every effort will be made to ensure that prices shown in our website are accurate at the time you place your order. If an error is found prior to the collection of the goods, we will inform you as soon as possible and offer you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling your order. If you cancel, we will refund or re-credit you for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit or debit card for the goods.

Pictures, illustrations or descriptions or any other information submitted or contained in this website or other advertising matter are for general information and guidance. There may be minor variations between the goods as shown or described on our website and those delivered to you without affecting their overall function, quality, or price in our opinion.

Payment for goods ordered can be made by any method shown in this website at the time you place your order. All payments are taken in pounds Sterling.

The ordered goods will be available for collection from the outside Bradley Barton Primary School and Nursery at the arranged time and date.  If for any reason collection isn’t successful, we will be in touch to organise another attempt until we are successful.  We will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you through any reasonable or unavoidable delay in delivery.

All orders are accepted subject to availability of the goods. If any ordered goods are not readily available to us, we will inform you as soon as possible, and refund or re-credit in full any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card.

We offer a no quibble returns policy. You have 14 days from the date and time of collection in which to review your purchase, and if you so wish, to return the items, regardless of the reasons. Items should be in the same condition as when collected. Contact us at ptfa@bradleybarton.com within 14 days of your purchase, and as soon as the items are returned, we will initiate a refund. Please note, refunds may take several days to be received in your account and it’s beyond our control to expedite this any quicker.
